Late Work & Missing Assignments Policy
Students will be allowed to turn in late work. Late work can be turned in for up to 75% credit (If a student turns in a perfectly completed late work, the highest grade they may receive is 75%). Late work may be turned in up to two weeks prior to the close of the grading period.
In my homeroom (210) there are labeled paper baskets by the door. This is where any late or redone assignments may be submitted. If you submit a redo assignment you must fill out a redo form (in the basket already) completely and attach it to the assignment before I will grade it. Absent work should be submitted to me in person during office hours or after school.
If you know you submitted an assignment for grading but did not receive a grade for it, check the "no name" basket before approaching me concerning the assignment.
Grading Scale
A -90% -100% Advanced
More complex learning goal. An “A” means the student shows mastery of content above grade level rigor with in-depth inferences and applications that go beyond what is taught in class.
B 80% -89% Proficient
Target learning goal. A “B” means the student has completed proficient work on all course objectives at grade level rigor with no major errors or omissions.
C 70% -79% Basic
Simpler learning goal. A “C” means the student has completed proficient work on the most important objectives, although not on all objectives, at below grade level rigor of what was explicitly taught in class.
F 1% -69% Below Basic & Far Below
An “F” means the student produces minimal information even with prompting. The student has completed proficient work on fewer than half of the course objectives and cannot successfully complete the next course in the sequence.
I 0% Incomplete
An “I” means the student was unable to successfully complete a course due to strenuous circumstances or as decided by administration. The student has completed proficient work on fewer than twenty-five percent of the course objectives and cannot successfully complete the next course in the sequence.

Attendance Policy
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make-up missed work. If you are going to be absent for an extended period of time please arrange to get your assignments. Please see student handbook for further information regarding attendance policy.
Tardy Policy
If you are tardy to class, you must bring a signed pink slip from the office to me in order to enter class. You are expected to get yourself up to speed with the rest of class without disrupting the lesson already taking place. Be sure to check with your peers for any missed notes or submitted work. I highly recommend having a "study buddy" who is rarely absent and takes good notes who can help you with this if you miss the first portion of class.
